I think You mean a circle in a triangle. Cause then you just add one line to get the deathly hallows
Triangle in a circle means someone messed up 😂
Partnership for foreign tax purposes, flow through (branch) for US tax purposes
Means the entity holds AA meetings at their office. 👍
I’m not sure I’ve seen triangle in a circle. Just triangle in a box. There isn’t a legend? That’s not a conventional shape. Probably some sort of hybrid (different tax treatment for US vs foreign).
An oval is usually an individual but could be used as a catch all representing an entity. The triangle inside means its treated as a flow thru for fed purposes. My guess is this is a disregarded entity. Is there only one entity above it or does it split off to multiple?
When you have two shapes it means it’s a hybrid entity. Triangle means partnership and circle usually means branch. But you typically would not show both triangle and circle since both indicate a flow through. If legal name has inc corp or any of the foreign equivalents, I wanna bet someone meant to draw a triangle on a rectangle. Which is hybrid entity with partnership and Corp hybrid treatment. You could also have a reverse hybrid depending on whether your triangle is upside down. That just indicates whether it’s flow through or Corp treatment in US.
Also never assume org charts are right. Once had an issue arise because client gave us org chart saying entity was foreign when the entity was a US entity.
