I got H1B Visa and 83000 USD dollar petition amount as annual package.I am confused as this amount will be enough to survive there with wife and 7 year old daughter. My wife is working here and together we are earning 50LPA annual. We are settled here by owning house too.Confusion is my wife will not be able to work there on H4 Visa so the kind of life we are living here will not be possible there.Thoughts?Suggestions?Pros and Cons?

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

You can’t have an IRA with any company. IRA is a personal retirement account while 401k is a company sponsored retirement account. So you definitely have a 401k account.
Staying here 5 years seems like hell
I thought vesting was 0, 20, 40, 60, 100?
PwC 7 -it is
You do have a wealth builder account, and that’s more akin to some kind of pension plan.
Wealth builder is basically the same as if the firm matched 3-5% (depending on years of service) of your salary to a 401(k), but it’s independent of how much you contribute.
Vesting timeline is same as your 401(k).
Just finished year 2. Feels like an eternity
^but we don’t vest at all in the wealth builder until after 3 years right?
How does the wealth builder work?
You vest 20% each year and fully vest in 5 years
^^thats why they do it
