I am so tired. 😭🫠🫥
Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

I once took a job as a receptionist just because I really needed a job at the time, and I thought it would be good to get my foot in the door. It was a mixed experience, the job was boring and sometimes stressful (dealing with a busy phone switchboard could be awful). But there were also advantages, from that vantage point I got to see how various people and departments in the company related to each other. So the job was lousy, but I learned a lot. And within a year I was promoted up from it, so it all worked out.
I took a social media job at a local marketing agency. I didn't have a marketing background but had done some freelance social work, which was enough to get me the interview and then the job. It ended up being a great move that paved the way for me to learn about marketing hands-on and eventually pivot away from social.
Took a contract to hire entry level role just to get in the door. 3 years & 3 promotions later, I was leading my own team.
Accepted an assistant role to get into the tech door. It was a different time in tech. Ended up with a great manager and was able to move into a more technical role in a year.

I took a temp job back in 2012 as a filer for a freight forwarding company. Learned that job in less than a week. Fast forward a year later and I got hired full time with benefits. Job hopped once or twice since then. And now 13 years later I’m still in logistics!
I took a job at a truck leasing place was suppose to work out of Toledo but the only place that had an opening was in Detroit. Had to stay with my grandma during the week. Luckily I had interviewed at another place back home and ended up getting that job and left the truck leasing one.
I accepted job offer at 47k. After few months I was given raise without asking after they saw what I bring to table.
