However every related role that opens has hundreds of apps. I have geared my resume & cover letter to the roles, I have gained experience, & I try to apply as early as possible. I totally understand if it’s too competitive/I’m not a good fit- but is this now an org where you typically need to know someone to land an interview? Just curious on thoughts

Crowdsourcing exit ideas. I have 20yoe in a niche area of federal environmental work but I’m also a strong consultant w/experience in management/leadership, proposals, writing, recruiting, training, strategic planning…. I’m stagnant in my current role. I want more pay, but I want to keep a remote role. Everything I see sounds boring, too technical/software related, or like a director/exec role that will kill my WLB. I’m also over the billability targets.

The interview happened last month first week and documentation process also completed. They have given a verbal offer, but no offer letter as there are still doing some audit and compliance on the earlier employments. They have yet not reverted. What should be done in this scenario. Hello. My district is currently remote (virtual) and I am teaching a chemical reactions unit. Usually, this is a hands on unit. I cannot do hands-on labs for equity reasons. My district does not have subscriptions to any science lab simulation sites at the middle school level. We use the NGSS. We are standards based grading and I can only grade the stand MS-PS1-2. Anyone have suggestions on free simulations I can use? I teach synchronously to my students 2 classes (2 hours total ) each week.

Does anyone have any advice on being a sponser? I have a sponsee that has clinical depression, and is saying their depression and mental health issues are making it hard for them to do our ‘aa step work…they are on medication and see a therapist. I’m considering a lateral move. New firm is offering a full bonus for pro-rated hours, which is nice but I doubt I’ll hit hours due to HR/admin onboarding work, ramp up, coming on in the middle of deals, etc. Any chance I can negotiate for a guaranteed bonus regardless of hours or is that unreasonable? I don’t want to annoy the new firm but I want to at least be made whole.
