The week begins and I am already juggling three briefs, all "top priority." If everything is urgent, then nothing is urgent. How do you decide what to tackle first when everything feels on fire?

In most situations it's obvious which task takes priority, it's either evidently important or we're up against the deadline. If it's not so obvious, I'll ask people where things stand and what takes precedence. I don't want to put myself in the position of working on something that could wait because I didn't know something else was urgent.

Only 3?
Pick the hottest potato.

If everything’s on fire, let one burn. That’s prioritisation.

Hahah I always say if everything is urgent it means nothing is urgent… but really I always check with a manager about when everything is actually due and work from that (rather then them just saying it’s urgent)

Hello, I am a a23 year old who just graduated with a BA degree In Cyber Security. I have two years of cyber security experience that is mainly focused on vulnerability management and user awareness training. I have recently accepted a job as an IS engineer for 65k but am now thinking about leaving after only two weeks due to the fact that I don’t enjoy working for large companies as you are so segmented. I also realize that 65k is low for cybersecurity. What should I target for my next to role?

Greetings from Madison, Wisconsin. I'm a reporter with more than 32 years of experience and I feel that, lately, local television news has been kind of dead, but I am pleased to fight for it from my local newspaper. Locals love to see someone from their own town succeeding or finding out something inspiring.

I am a firm believer that this will not change for a long time, local TV will continue to live as long as we stand for it.
