I’m asking myself in terms of a secondary income. I have a bit of savings, but if I lost my job tomorrow, I’d be fighting the clock in how long that lasts me. I empathize, and I’m not really sure what more we can do. It’s a real reason to have concern.

I feel this personally too. It is hard to support others when you are thinking the same things. I think acknowledging that openly matters more than trying to fix it, because it is a real concern.
People are naturally concerned. You can't read the news without hearing about layoffs, and mentions of how bad the job market is. And the cost of living keeps moving upward. There really isn't much we can say to offer support in a time like this. Perhaps we'll come out of this year in good shape, but there's no honest way to promise anything like that.

I agree we cannot promise anything, but I do not think doing nothing is the answer. I feel like even small clarity on what we do know helps people feel a bit more grounded.
