There's a position I found on LinkedIn that I really want (and am qualified for), but it's been up for about a week now with over 100 applicants showing. Of course, I'm wondering if those numbers are inflated. But still, would it be worth taking the time to write a cover letter for it? Or am I just wasting my time when they've got that many applications to review?

Just apply. I applied to a lot of jobs with more than 100 applicants and one of them had even more than 1000 applicants that I even got an interview. it is though recommended to get connected through their HR or recruiter or apply directly to their website.

Also a lot of people apply to jobs on LinkedIn regardless of if they meet the basic requirements the job. For every job my firm advertises on LinkedIn, there are always at least a few dozen resumes from people who require visa sponsorship when we don’t offer it.

A week-old job post is not something I’d put a lot of effort into, just to be honest. If you really like the job, meet all qualifications, go for it. Just try to focus on ones that are posted that day.

Hello everyone! How do you manage holiday pay when the holiday is on a Saturday/ Sunday. For example, if I have someone working on Christmas (Sunday), they should be paid 1.5 but what if they work on Monday as well?I know this might sound silly to some people but I’m covering for payroll for the holidays and I don’t want to mess up!
