Tomorrow is never guaranteed. We have such a weird mindset that to live is to work, and there simply is no life beyond that unless you're on your final years. Life is to be enjoyed! ...unless that passive income is from charging absurd rent prices and stealing the chance of a good quality of life from others.

This is a really good thing to remember because I think most of us see retirement as this really far off thing that will happen when we are old. When in fact we should be building something now so that we can retire when we are still young and enjoy our lives.

Is this going to affect my hike, bonus?. This is my first review at the firm. Please help.

For those of you who got out at 10, do you wish that you rode it out to 20? I’m at a crossroad and I’m not sure what to do. Have some active/reserve time, wrapping up graduate school, and am now considering either a) come back to the business world or b) go active and retire before 50 and live off a nice pension. Obviously there are draws to both. I’m an officer for what it’s worth so I can realistically retire at O-5, MAYBE O-6.

I’ve been offered two positions that are great and on the human capital team. For someone in this situation where should I be looking as commensurate with my certifications and experience?
