I simply don’t gossip. I am genuinely a nice person but everybody knows this about me, If the conversation goes to somewhere I am not comfortable with , I respectfully start to navigate towards my computer. I don’t have time to hate or participate in any type of hate activities. I have so much to do that I do not concern myself with what others do. This is the same in my personal life as well .
PREACH! That’s why I tend to downplay accomplishments to peers and not engage in silly gossip or politics as much as possible. It usually will only come back to bite you. Everyone wants you to do well unless it means doing better than them =\
There are plenty of us who love our jobs and love our teams. It's simply that the haters are more vocal.

People want you to well but not better than them
That is an interesting point. I love when people who do great things get recognized and rewarded, it makes me happy when my peers succeed, truly happy. I take pride in advocating on other people’s behalf.
But, I’m consistently very highly rated, wondering if I would turn into a hater if I was not, I’d like to think that I won’t, but again we are all human and have similar character flaws.
Maybe I’d just leave, instead of starting to hate on people. Once the people i work with stopped taking care of me for me taking care of them, it will probably just push me out. It’s a two way street and when that relationship breaks down, I will seek that dynamic elsewhere.
