how bad was the falling out? did you view his profile recently? what was the falling out in regards to? how involved was your former boss? tons of factors that could influence what’s going on here, but even then, it’s still a complete guess as to why he tried adding you (did you decline the request?)

I mean, it’s not like he added you on Instagram or something lol, LinkedIn is a professional networking site. It could be as simple as LI suggesting you as someone he might know and him clicking connect. I personally wouldn’t think much of it. I have people from my prior firm that I hate on LinkedIn.

How do you feel about splitting everything 50-50 with your partner? I don’t feel as rigid about it bc I feel it balances out one way or another, but my partner feels as if he owes me if we don’t split 50-50 and I pay more. I get where he’s coming from but 50-50 just feels transactional and not intimate.
For context: I make 3x more than he does and he’s still finishing his medical fellowship, so I don’t feel it’s a matter of feeling less than.
