I’m mid-career and hoping to make a pivot to internal comms. I’m currently working in-house but the vast majority of my experience is at agency with very little internal comms experience. Other than finding opportunities in my current role to gain experience, what can I do to gain experience or expertise to make me desirable for an internal comms-focused role?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? Had a consultation with an attorney for legal advice on my options to address a late filing for a taxable event. They recommended me two options: file or not file. In order to help him with the consultation he asked to send him additional information like bank statements and work authorization which I sent.

If I decide to not file or go to another attorney if the fees are high, can the attorney still report me or whistle blow me to the tax authorities?

Really looking for a way to turn around a toxic building culture with staff to staff bullying, cliques/social isolation, hard feelings on big topics (racism, non acceptance of gender identity). Last year the staff polarized with the lead bully whom I helped leave. And the lead gossip (who was my secretary) that gained their sympathy and turned them against me. She also left.
