I think the mission statement and values etc could allude to God, Biblical concepts, Kingdom language as I've heard some call it. It'll be a beacon to clients who resonate but yet won't alienate so marketplace ministry can still take place to those who have yet to hear the Gospel. I would love to work in such a company!!
A great Christian agency would start by having an awesome boss like you, and treat employees fairly. Let that impact be the main mission
I’d like to hear how this progresses. We are not technically a Christian agency, but all three partners are believers. Blessing is the root of our identity. Our approach has been to bless our clients with the fruit of God and pray for opportunities to share where our beliefs come from. We’ve also drawn a line in what kinds of clients we’ll take. No casinos, no tobacco or alcohol, no lottery. It’s probably cost us business but we are 21 yrs and have won AdAge Small Agency SW. so whether or not you’re labeled Christian, Christian agencies are needed more than ever
Thanks, MC+W. The update: not outwardly a Christian agency but built the mission and vision around Christian values, as well as the way we approach work with our clients and employees. It’s all about approaching work the way God intended. Found a partner who ascribes to the philosophy 100% and are through all the logistical/legal hurdles. Now starting to reach out to potential clients and using small projects to work out the kinks.
Personally I think it’s great. Professionally I think it’ll be labeled a “Christian agency” and may limit what clients you bring in, maybe some clients will feel like you’re pushing it on them or judging them.
Thanks, FCB1. I tend to agree. I feel like God gives us a great reason to want to do great work we find fulfilling, but making this “consumer facing” would label and put a ceiling on it, even if we didn’t require ppl that work there to be believers. It’s hard to find the balance for it
I think by standing up for what you believe in, you will attract better and more passionate clients aligned with your thinking. It’s a niche in today’s world, but a powerful and positive place to be. How wonderful would it be to work with people with similar thinking!
