The Lord God has endowed certain people with the gift of intelligence and capability to restore and alleviate pain and suffering (if it be His Will)
through the healing arts of medicine and science. He did this for a reason...for us. What we can do is pray for God’s guidance in getting the right practitioner for our specific need. God Bless you and my prayers are with you.
Faith w/o work is dead (James 2:17). The faith bit is putting your trust in the Lord. The work bit is doing everything in your power to solve it.
Echoing what the above are saying, there's a reason God made doctors and psychologists/Psychatrists/therapist fall under that category. While we might pray for illness to go away and/or to not come at all, we still go to the doctor and get vaccines. Mental health and physical health both need to be taken care of and God had provided the resources for us to do so.
They should be definitely be prayed about but that doesn’t mean that they can’t be taken to a professional as well. There are a lot of Christian therapists out there who will give guidance through a Christian perspective in tandem with prayers for wisdom and guidance
I believe medicinal advancement is a part of the common grace God has for humanity. Therapy is a part of that. The fall affects our body but it's also affected our mind and soul. Which is why we are called to redeem all 3 of these parts of ourselves by loving God and people with all of our mind, strength, and soul. Like others have mentioned there are therapists who treat with a kingdom perspective. I encourage you to seek help when you need it and affirm that mental health is just as important for you to manage and care about as any other part of your life.
