McKinsey & Company I’m in between having accepted my offer and starting. I’ve read advice recommending getting your WFH set up ready before starting, and want to take that. I assume the answer is “no”, but could I spend my $150 one-time WFH allowance now and submit expense receipts after starting? Any chance they’d pay back spending prior to start date that was within a certain window (my last company allowed this for moving-related expenses, as an example) of the start? McKinsey & Company

I think you’re getting lowballed. MCs in NYC range from 110 on the low end to 150 on the high end. I’ve seen exceptions with some making 160 to 170 but at that point they’re very close to managers already.
I think you should go for a manager level role to meet your salary expectations. Manager salary at Accenture NYC can be 170 to 220K if you’re an experienced hire.
5-10 yrs of experience and in the SC role? Or as a manager? As a manager it is likely between 125-170
Experience hire managers nyc hits 170 easily
Thank you, I have over 8 years of experience and would be coming in at a management consultant role. Would a management consultant make beyond 170k normally? What would be the average?
No. Top of the band is around 170 I think and that’s a rare case. I’d imagine you’d come in at around 150 BASE, with the expectation that you’d have one or two years before being promoted to Manager (170-180 total)
Management Consultant is typically people with 2-5yrs exp in consulting.
I have over 8 years of experience and they are talking the consulting level for me. Is this normal? Want to make sure I don’t get lowballed.
