If you have the free time and a brand you love why not? Going into the holiday season it is a very demanding with the amount of work to be done in a shift and customers can be extra problematic. But to me, if I was doing it for fun it just means I’d be staying busy and hostile customers would just be my entertainment to kill with kindness.

If it’s just for the discount you’re probably wasting your time. The employee discounts aren’t that significant and if you end up buying more, you may spend more money than you otherwise would have. But it is a legitimately valuable experience that teaches you a lot about working with people.
