If companies want creative work, they need creative hires. Hiring creatively seems like the most sensible solution, not cattle calls and CSVs. it’s ineffective for everybody.
An interesting one.
It does feel like presenting candidates as a faceless list of names isn’t advantageous…because it inevitably becomes a question of whether someone recruiting can be assed to go through them all. How do they pick? Bias on gender/presumed ethnicity?
And if the list becomes more of a spreadsheet with select comparable details (recent agency, years experience, awards etc)…that risks making the process pretty mathematical which traditionally doesn’t benefit underrepresented minorities or people who have valid but different career paths.
I noticed you were hesitant on speaking about ethnicity. Facts are companys have to hire a percentage of different races so why not talk about it and people can use that for good to their advantage?
