Best work of 2019 so far?
Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

SupOP, I'd say that media analytics is more executional/operational while creative analytics takes a deeper level of understanding the psychology of shopping (i.e. choice heuristics, what makes people tick, etc.) Because of that, I find analysts on the creative side are bigger thinkers who innovate more and build wider toolsets. Additionally, analytics is a field that is much less subjective when it comes to assessing quality, and, in my years, I've seen the quality of media analytics to be lower (more errors and mistakes made in data and methodologies). That's not to say there aren't bright players on both sides, but just an observation I've seen on average.
What have you heard about Havas analytics?
I've always been creative agency side and believe most of the top analytics talent ends up on that side of the fence (vs media), but I worked with Havas Media for a few years and they had some good people.
@Analytics VP thanks on your feedback. Is there any difference in analytics from creative side vs media side? From my perspective there seems to be more analytical depth from the media side.
@Carat Upvoter: Which office are you from? 😁 I'm from the NYC1 office.
@VP Analytics. Thank you for this. Your comment alone tells me more about your skillset/experience than my agency's analytics knowledge. I have been approached by Havas but I'm not hearing good things about them.
The consensus I am hearing about Havas (not Havas Analytics) is not that great in the area of clients and compensation. At least for the NYC office. I am not set on believing what I'm told but the general consensus is it's not that great compared to lets say Carat, OMG or MediaCom or GroupM.
Publicis has a pretty great department with excellent leadership.
@Publicis1 please expand on your statement. Want to hear more.
