Has anyone else in PDM received one of these “you’re selected to be an Onboarding Advisor” emails? 2 of my coworkers got one and they seem to be expected to advise new hires on how to do resumes, skills, staffit, DTE, introduce them to their network, send welcome emails, checkin with them multiple times and answer their onboarding questions. Seems like a lot of extra firm work when PDM is not supposed to be required to do firm work…. Wondering if anyone knows about this new requirement.

During initial onboarding with the firm, does the first week or so count towards utilization or is there somewhat of a grace period?

Received an offer for a Project Delivery Specialist II in GPS. Are all Project Delivery types tied to PDM? Is it possible to negotiate the track prior to onboarding? I’m on the fence after reading all of the threads suggesting to avoid. However, ideally, I’m really only looking for a year 1/2 engagement before industry or grad. My project client location in Denver started in person mandatory days. Few of colleagues started to go there. I’m confused as I was hired as PDM and I live in east coast and project is in west coast. My leadership is not forcing me anything and they left it to us but I don’t want to lose job because I’m not traveling. Any suggestions?

I've gotten the Deloitte D launch orientation survey. Me start date is on the 16th (less than 2 weeks). I've emailed BI onboarding twice, called my recruiter asking if they are ok with background/employment verification check and I've not gotten a response. I need to put in my 2 week notice and all my recuiter has said is I can push your start date out. Has anyone been thru this ? Does getting the D launch orientation email imply everything is good with background/employment checks
