I feel like my boss is sexist and unfair. I've worked here for three years and he's never once given me a raise. He told me once that women aren't good at sales. What do I do?

Well do you need a performance review from your boss in order to talk about getting a raise. I would reach out to human resources and ask them for a performance review so you can talk about a raise. and the numbers don’t lie whether you’re male or female if your sales numbers are competitive with everyone else on the team, if your numbers are better, or if your numbers are lower. You’ll be able to know where you are in the review so you can see for yourself where you fit in.

You should look for another place to work! Don't keep wasting your time in a company where they don't value your work because you are a different gender!

If you feel that your boss is sexist and unfair, you have a few options. You can talk to your boss about your concerns, you can speak to HR, or you can find a new job. If your boss has made sexist comments about women not being good at sales, this is definitely grounds for complaint.

Do you know how your numbers compare to other sales associates? Even so, 3 years without a raise is horrible, especially given the current rate of inflation. Is looking for a new job an option for you?

I am a personal injury attorney making 79k with ability to keep 40% of anything I settle, bonuses for originating work for the firm. I am 1.5 years into practicing as a Plaintiffs PI attorney - I have a review coming up - suggestions on what I should ask for as a raise. I’ve settled a couple cases and working on a third settlement. I’m new to the practice area but cannot get a read on whether a raise is coming at review - nothing but positive feedback from both partners I work with, but doesn’t

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.

TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)

TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)

Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

I’ve heard salaries have gone up quite a bit in the midst of the pandemic and I’m wondering if this is true for EAs as well. There’s a myriad of data online about EA salaries depending on age/experience but I’m interested in salaries from jobs accepted in 2020/2021 specifically!

Please feel free to share:

- Your salary from any job accepted in 2020/2021
- Any offers you may have received but rejected
- Your length of experience

Thank you!

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.
