Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. In spite of having applied for many jobs at Citi (including the referrals), I have not got any calls from Citi.
I do not understand what's wrong with my profile ! I do get calls from other Captives but not from the Citi.

Highly volatile. As a high performer, have seen years >30%, have also seen years <10%. When personal, practice and firm performance all align, comp. increases can be ridiculous.
“Meets expectations” is generally somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-8%, maybe breaks 10% in a good year for the practice / firm.
The percentages are much less the higher your base moves up. It’s starts to become round numbers like $5K to $10K which are more like 3-6%

A lot is where you are in the band and level. So if you’re an M1 at $120, maybe $10-12 max. But if you’re an M2 at $150 more like $3-5.
What about M3 @ ~$145k
