I’ve observed this as well.
In early days of my career I didn’t knew what PWC was into, Big4 are really not tech companies so definitely can be missed by tech people.
When i was approached by PWC HR, I asked details about the company before proceeding with the interview the HR got offended and tried to bring me down for not knowing about the great company PWC 😅😅
I cutshort the call and said I’m not interested as I don’t seem a cultural fit for the organisation ( I’m sure I made his day 😂😂)

I decided next time anyone told me We are big4 then I will tell I don't care you are big4 or small4. If you can't pay that means you are cheaper 4😂😂😂😂
my yoe is 3 years 10 months. He was also offended that How can I say 4 years if its 3.10.
I think it's high time we rename Big4 to Cheap4. Same story across

Let me tell you my story 😂😂😂😂 they took my three level interview then told I have to travel a lot etc etc. My cctc is 9.6 with 8.9 years of experience and I am holding an offer of 25 so I asked the HR for 26. After hearing 26 she charged me how can I ask for more than 100 😂😂😂😂 I told her my cctc is very less and as per market standard of my skills set it should be exp*3 and one company is giving me around that. She is told me she can give 17 I told her THANKS BUT I WON'T TAKE It. For few seconds she got shocked she must be thinking how can someone deny pwc😂😂😂😂 if they are so proud of big4 then they should pay more than the service based I guess and in software development big4 is not much good at all
