I’m sorry you are feeling so sad! How lucky to have such a great friend
I’m so sorry for your the loss of your friend. My heart goes out to you. Hang in there, and lean on the ppl you can count on during this difficult time.
Yesterday my son got a wedding invite for one of his college friends. And I got a call that one one mine had passed. I am at that part of life where I see obits for people younger than me and I am still in the classroom. Cherish the relationships you have with those the same age or older. Enjoy the time you spend with each other. No matter how long you live, life is too short.
Not a colleague, but a close friend. We're in our early 30s, so it was completely unexpected. Still hits me out of nowhere when I think of something I want to tell her and realize I can't. I'm really sorry for your loss.
I’m really sorry for your loss and the walk through grief that you have begun. I haven’t lost a close colleague, and only one close friend, but I’ve lost every family member older than me with only a few exceptions. Grief can end up defining us if we aren’t careful. I’ve seen it many times.
I just encourage you to deal with it instead of running from it. Find comfort and solace where you can, and walk and crawl forward as you can find the strength.
Best wishes to you.
Thank you so much Oklahoma. I’m really just trying to remember he had a happy life and career. I’m so glad I could be part of it. His wife, who was also a teacher, mentioned yesterday at one of the visitations that he really liked me and enjoyed teaching with me, then added, “he liked about three people in this world, and you were one of them.” It made me feel so glad. Even in his death he brightened my day.
I haven't had that happen, but I can imagine that was incredibly hard. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Hang in there.
I’m truly sorry for your loss. I have lost many people over my life. It’s always a tough blow and something I struggle to get over.
