I had a missed miscarriage which resulted in a D&C on Tuesday, the 11th. I feel worse than I did finding out there was no longer a heart beat. I’m having this severe anxiety feeling as my dog is getting his teeth cleaned on Wednesday and he’s 13 and all I think about is death. I don’t feel ready to return to work but I can’t afford to take FMLA and not get paid my full pay check. Is this anxious feeling normal and will I eventually feel normal again? This is just so awful I cry so much

The heart stopped at around 8 weeks and I had the D&C a week later

Sorry for your loss. I went through this a week ago. It is hard to be motivated to do normal things. Maybe you can take a few sick days?

Sending you tons of love! It is such a difficult moment... even 2 years after, at the only thought of it.... please be positive and kind to yourself, one day at a time! Maybe the Doctor can prescribe you some meds to recover hormonally...

Sorry for your loss. The week after a D&C can be especially hard because of the huge drop in hormones. My doctor also mentioned you can get PPD from a miscarriage, so definitely not hesitate to reach out to your doctor

💔 I’m so sorry for your loss my dear. I wish I knew how to make you smile but hope you have support system and some time off work to take care of yourself

does your job have short term disability ? i would look into that. I am sorry for your loss. i had one known miscarriage and i still have so much guilt surrounding it until this day.

I am so sorry you are going through this. If there’s someone at work you can talk to, it may be worth it — I didn’t tell anyone for my first miscarriage, but told a few people I trust after my second miscarriage (also a missed miscarriage discovered around 9 weeks) and they ended up arranging for me to take a week off and it was really helpful both to have a little time but also to have some understanding & support and not feel so isolated. Whatever you do, try to give yourself some grace and lean on the people you love. Grief is super hard but living with it does get easier over time. Sending you love and light 💕

I’m so sorry. I was severely anxious for months but found that supplements and magnesium baths helped me. Your body actually depletes itself of certain nutrients when it’s in anxious overdrive. You have to calm the vagus nerve. Also try putting an ice pack on your neck to help with that. I also downloaded the Calm app to help with sleep and anxiety. It’s actually helped me out a lot.

I’m so so sorry. I hope that you have supportive people around you.

Hi Fishes,
I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ. But they told that they can send the revised offer letter 3 weeks before the joining date.
Is this normal process? Has anyone gone through similar experience?

I’m starting the IVF process and planning to do my first egg retrieval in early June. I’m hoping to do back-to-back retrievals due to my age and hoping to have at least a few healthy embryos before we try our first transfer. I have Anthem BCBS has anyone done this and has insurance/fertility benefits covered it? Thanks!

Has anyone had any side effects from Ovidrel? I did my shot on Wednesday night and Thursday and Friday I was SO tired and fatigued and it was impossible to focus. Did my IUI on Friday and I’ve been SO crampy and in pain and I’m soooo cranky and irritable and I can’t figure out if it’s from the injection still or what

We are trying to change plan. What you’ll think about Aetna EPO, heard it pays 100% for IVF? Currently on BCBS not much benefits if we would want to skip IUI and jump to IVF. Any suggestions here would be helpful. Thank you.

I just got a really great offer, only downside is the eligibility for maternity leave is after 12 months of employment. We got a faint positive today but have had so many chemical pregnancies over the past year that I am not confident it will stick this time BUT I am on aspirin and progesterone for this try … so it could.. I want to see if I could negotiate being eligible earlier but I also don’t want them to think I’m pregnant when I’m not actually… How would you approach the conversation?

Hi Fishies. Im 31 yrs old, spouse 33 yrs old. We are going with IVF due to male factor. Today we got PGT results from CCRM Boston. Among 7 embryos, 5 came normal. 1- 5AA(male), 1-5AA(female),1-4BB(tier2,female),1-4AA(tier1,female), 1-4AA(tier 1, male). What is the best embryo among them? This is my first IVF. And little nervous as well. What could be the reasons if the embryo is not implanted ? Is it something with to do with me? Do we need to do anything from our side, like acupuncture ?
