Unemployed junior here. Wanted to ask the recruiters and talent managers here. Would it be fair to say that writers and ADs are being hired as pairs right now more frequently? I have a couple partners i worked with in the past, and want some guidance on ways to get my foot in the door.

honestly if you’re desperate for a job i’d pitch yourself as both. look solo but you can also say you have current partner options if that sweetens the deal for recruiters/CDs

Having a partner that you’ve proven successful with will always help you get your foot in the door, especially if someone with some power can vouch for you. That’s how i got my job. That being said, pairs aren’t hired more frequently because more openings are usually for one position. So just apply solo for those, but even in those cases half the time i’ve been asked if i have a partner.

I’m in a similar boat and have been employed past few month after layoffs. Was getting interviews but hadn’t landed anything but recently started applying to roles with a partner and we’ve had success. I’d suggest solo/ as a team and whatever happens be happy you get something

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!

I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?
