Happy short month

A ways back, I was grabbing coffee in the Financial District when the young woman ringing me up said, “…you have all those tattoos and a septum piercing and you work around here?” I nodded “yes,” and said that I worked in tech. She was amazed that a woman that looked like me could get hired and work in a professional setting. I think it gave her confidence that she could do it too.

There was a time in my life where I would get a very visible tattoo every quarter to see how my leadership team would react to them.

What’s the weirdest reaction that you have ever received, or seen someone else receive, in regards to having tattoos at a tech company?
