I went through an extremely long recruitment process with Coforge, which included 7 interview rounds:
- One Technical and One Management rounds with Coforge
- Two technical rounds with the client (Senior IT Manager and Solution Architect team)
- AVP-level discussion with Technical Team for Candidate finalize
- HR discussion where compensation was mutually discussed and aligned with Coforge
- One in-person meeting at Coforge Greate Noida office
- Multiple HR discussion for compensation negotiation
The entire process took around 20 days.
After completing all rounds and receiving positive feedback — including strong interest from the client to onboard — the compensation was revisited and reduced at the final stage, with the reason cited as budget constraints.
Unfortunately, after investing significant time and effort, the offer could not be released based on the initially agreed terms. While the client side was appreciative and keen to proceed, the process stalled due to internal commercial considerations.
My suggestion to future candidates would be to seek early confirmation on budget and final approvals before proceeding through multiple rounds, especially for client-based roles.
