I am a Software Engineer in a product based company. I have total experience of 4 years. Relevant experience is same in C#, .NET, .NET APIs and Web Services, MVC, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, etc. I have been working in Agile model (Scrum) through tools like JIRA, Confluence. I also have experience in Batch Scripting for creating small-mid scale monitoring tools as I have experience in L3 Technical Support. Have used MS Office, ServiceNow, etc for reporting.

I was just offered a job at another agency for $15k higher than the raise I just got. Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

I‘m considering an add-on degree in the US on top of my MBA from a leading Euro school, in order to be able to work in the US. My employer wouldn’t sponsor me, so no internal transfer! STEM or no STEM...still up in the air. Crazy idea or not? What do you think?
