Wanting to go to Scotland next year in April or May for about 10 days. I love scotch, so I would like to visit some niche/local distilleries. Any advice on where to go? How to plan? Etc?

Wife isn't a big drinker and hates scotch, so if it lines up with some more touristy things, that is probably a happy medium.
