Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Check out the WWII museum.
It’s intense but an amazing experience and very well curated
Holocaust Museum will increase the impact. Not a happy place, but you’ll never forget it. Very worth spending the time.

Frenchman St over Bourbon St
Cochon is my favorite trendy restaurant
Commanders Palace hands down if you want a nice, old school fancy New Orleans meal (and significantly better food than you’ll find anywhere in the French Quarter)
Crabby Jacks for po’boys (it’s pretty far uptown though)
Elizabeth’s in Bywater for brunch (get the praline bacon and thank me later)
Shaya for the best Israeli food you’ve ever had
Magazine street for cool cafes and shops and bars
Cochon for sure!!
24 F and just got back. My top picks were carousel bar and if you are going with others / want an exquisite meal, Arnauds. Those were standouts. Ritz Carlton lounge has jazz and is a chill vibe. Bourbon st like the fat cat are a little crazier but have weird music schedules because of covid
NOLA is incredible, I went by myself for a weekend (25F) and had the BEST time.
For food, CAVAN is by far the best meal I’ve had in my life and was super affordable. I loved Gumbo Shop for lunch (traditional Louisiana meals). I ate lunch there every day.
For music/nightlife, go straight to Frenchman Street. There are countless great bars with all different kinds of awesome music. Entry is generally free but bring cash to tip the band.
It’s going to be HOT and HUMID. I went in July and saw a woman pass out from the heat. Wear the lightest clothes you have. Plan to stay out of the sun during the hottest times of the day. Drink LOTS of water during the day.
Stay away from Borboun - it’s a gross tourist trap!
Thanks guys!!!
Second commanders palace! Not cheap but you will not regret it. You’ll have the best times you’ll never remember in NOLA.
