Has anyone dealt with a FIRPTA withholding on a sale? It looks like the seller of a condo I’m interested now is an international student so it would apply. Are there any specific steps to take with this kind of transaction? Is it as simple as withholding 15% of the Sales price from the seller to remit to the IRS or is there more to it?
