We have 2 kids in elementary school and feel like things are well in hand, for the most part. I felt for a couple of years that our family is complete. I’m in my early 40s, and now feel a tug of wanting to expand our family (maybe through birth but also maybe through adoption). Have any older moms continued their family after thinking they were done? What was your experience?

Do it! If you know there’s one more waiting to join your family don’t prolong it

They say: you’ll never regret having your baby once they’re here and in your arms, but you may always regret never having the baby you thought about. Whoever “they” are lol but this has stuck with me. 10 years from now- would you smile if you had another little face at your table, even if it came with some sacrifice? If you at all think you would want another baby, I say go for it! My mom is a dr. and took care of a little baby boy in the ER 33 years ago who was in foster care. She thought about adopting him, but wasn’t sure about having another baby because she already had 3. You know what? She still talks about him every 6 months or so and wishes she had had her “fourth child” as she calls him.

Both me and my husband are middle children with the youngest being 6-8 years younger than us. Both of our parents were still able to do all the “parent” things, and I actually think they were able to be around more for the youngest because they were further along in their careers. The age gap is fun and the older kids can usually help a bit. If YOU feel like it’s right, do it!

I’ve accepted an offer from a firm. Had to revise my joining date and the HR sent an email confirmation for the revised doj. I received an onboarding portal link from another HR, on their portal it’s mentioned my joining is in January which is even earlier than the joining date I received before on my OL which I got revised later on. The HR isn’t even reachable, they don’t reply to mails or pick calls. Don’t know what to do.
