I recently got asked in an interview “how do you keep on top of employment law, your award and fair work regulations?” Truth is I’m subscribed to mailing lists but that’s about it… I sometimes feel dumb because I forget what’s in the fair work act, I need to check it every time someone is going on parental leave… then I forget the min requirements again.
Does anyone else have the same problem? How do you keep on top of / remember important NES & regulations?

Actually I am going through some tough times(going through a divorce), want to connect to EAP to discuss my mental health issues.
I had connected once and they say that the conversations are strictly confidential.
Just wanted to know do they really keeps stuff confidential or can they inform my Manager regarding the personal conversations.

A patient of mine essentially asked me to fraudulently bill his insurance the other day. My response was records can be audited at anytime which could result in my license being put at risk. Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

As I browse available positions in my area, I’m realizing there is a LOT of crossover between my current org and others, for example shared board members, folks who are on our board and employed at one of the institutions I’m interested in, etc.. Is there a way to say “my current org doesn’t know I’m looking, so please treat my interest with discretion” that doesn’t raise red flags? Thanks!

What can you do if you’re getting interviewed by the same person who didn’t choose you in the first place?
