I work at a consulting firm and I get so much anxiety throughout the day just thinking of having to engage with VPs, C-suite and people that are so much smarter than me. I had a phone interview with a big company last Wednesday.
The recruiter said that the director had reviewed my resume and was interested but wanted him to screen me.
He said “the job is yours” because I had “everything they were looking for” salary was within their range ETC…
He said someone will follow up with the next steps(video interview) Tomorrow will be a week and I haven’t heard anything not even a response to my thank you email .. I don’t know what to think 😫

Is this normal? My colleague pops into the online document I’m working on (and honestly not their business to keep up with) every single time I make an edit. They pop in and watch my work. Every. time. I thought it was ok until I started working odd hours and they would still open the document. I’m talking past midnight. Mysteriously, every time I’m working in there, they also decide to join in and watch and watch me work. It’s so awkward and peak micromanager level stuff. WTF is going on?

Cue the year end emails thanking the new hires who’ve been around for 6 months and a big no thanks to those who decided to leave because they no longer wanted to be overworked, underpaid, and under valued!

So, some of my co-workers simply said that they want to go ahead and start something or start looking elsewhere (career change) because they don't know how much it will last at the pace we are going in regards to case intake and pay out. Should I start panicking or simply start looking elsewhere? They even they even told me if I was looking elsewhere or planned on doing so also. I found it weird in a way.

In taking about the last jobs we had before current one: A twenty-something y/o male:

“I don’t know/remember the last job I had. That was three years ago.”
