The Monday brand carried at Target is nice. Personally I think it isn't something worth your time and effort. People are staying with you for the friendship and company, not resort amenities.
Thanks! I was thinking something budget friendly and that looks perfect.
Definitely not trying to be like a resort…just wanted to pick up a few toiletries for guests in case they forget. I usually rely on the hotel or host for these type of products instead of packing them, so I wanted to be prepared for others.
Get a big thing from Costco/Sams. If someone is picky about their S&C they’ll bring their own, this will just act as a back up.
ETA: if you really want to be helpful, spend the extra $ get generic backups for more things people tend to forget: toothbrush and toothpaste, floss, deodorant, lotion, even a cheap $20-30 hair drier. And a small first aid kit too is helpful.

Real question — why is this post in the Women in Law bowl?
Because I didn’t know where else to post - it’s not like it’s a “Confession” and doesn’t have to do with Motherhood. I felt safer conferring with just women, so this one made the most sense to me. Sorry if that offended you enough to comment.

What a first world question…
C1, Appreciate the judgment for asking a simple question 🙃
Malin + Goetz, Aesop and Necessaire.
The one has TASTE. Second all of these.
Honestly I never ever use shampoo other than my own. Stock whatever, any one who cares about hair products will bring a travel sized bottle with them. There is no shampoo that works best on all hair types.
Two bags jugs of Costco stuff--Pantene or Nexxus.
Your goal is to be hospitable and not to have to think about restocking much.
Yes, I love the jugs! I have them for myself at home because I hate restocking
Tresemme or Pantene?
When I stayed at my friend’s house, she had dried eucalyptus hanging in the bathrooms, which was honestly really lovely. I’d second Costco shampoo & conditioner—I like pura d’or.
Thanks! I recently bought some eucalyptus shower spray for myself at home and I really enjoy the scent. I will look into the dried eucalyptus.
Nexxus.
Kiehl’s amino acid shampoo and conditioner is another good option — gender neutral and they sell the big refill bags. Sign up for their emails because they run 25% off promos pretty frequently.
I also really like their face cleanser, fwiw.
I use Kiehl’s moisturizer and love it. I forgot about their shower stuff. Like that it’s gender neutral
Second Necessaire. I have their shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and lotion in my guest bathroom. A lot of their products are unscented or have mild/gender neutral scents. Big fan of the eucalyptus scent personally for the body wash. The packaging is also somewhat luxe feeling if that’s what you’re going for. I replace the whole set every couple of years and just personally use up whatever is left to be sure guests aren’t using expired/old product. It does have a long shelf life but it’s not forever.
I love Aesop too if that’s in budget, but Rudy’s is about half the cost while still being nice. (I found it at the Ace Hotel).
Will you be there are will these be airbnb-esque hosting situations?
Just us. We aren’t savvy enough to rent and the house is kind of in middle of nowhere so probably wouldn’t even have a lot of people want to rent.
I have an Airbnb/ vacation home and we get Terre pure hotel soap kits that come with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body bar. I’ll try to link it here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07PGMGPGM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I’ll also add to remember to treat it like a business, assuming you want to make a profit. Most guests don’t care and bring their own things to bathe with
Anything from the brand Loma or O Way.
I do love Ouai too, but O Way is much better - https://owayusa.com
Pantene or if you want to spend a little more Pureology.
Loccitane
