Well guys and gals: I did it. I found a way to merge consulting and woodworking. I present to you a walnut shoe rack full of Allen Edmonds shoes. Still need to put some finish on it and complete a second identical one for the closet. Addl. pics below

Any tips on setting up a garage shop? My roommate is moving out, so I'll have half a garage to set up. Thinking about installing a dust curtain. What would you recommend for a starter shop re: outlets, dust collection, etc.?

Does anyone use SketchUp? Thoughts? Advice?

New project is halfway complete: a combination outfeed and assembly table. Still need to build drawers for the cabinets, glue and edge the top, and add T-Track, but I’m enjoying working in this cooler weather. Hope all of you guys and gals are doing well! Post your projects if you have anything fun going on.

I’ve been spamming this board with amp builds over the past several months; if it’s too monotonous please let me know. I have finally gotten the hang of batch producing guitar amp cabinets and I’m proud of how far my tolex game has come. Recent build that is being shipped to a customer today: 1x12” amp with blonde nubtex covering and an oxblood grille.

Hi woodworkers! I’m pretty young (24) and therefore not super established in one spot — what’s the best way to get started in woodworking without needing to buy a bunch of equipment? Are there like pay-to-use woodshops or something?
Based in Boston if it helps, have ~3yr experience from high school shop class

Not that I’ve worn ties much in the last year, but I made this to get a bit more organized. The pegs are actually bolts for door hinges that I cut down. $1.25 for a 4 pack kept this whole thing under $10
