Anyone else have major issues searching for federal district court-level opinions? I feel like at least once a month I’m being asked to find opinions authored by x judge (or even just in x district) on y issue, and I almost never find anything. If it doesn’t come up in Westlaw, I usually go to Bloomberg and use the court opinion and dockets search features. We have ALL the resources and a library staff and yet still almost every time I come up with NOTHING. It’s seriously giving me brain damage.

I am in a small 10 person firm, 3 partners, big midwest city. All of us are wfh and will continue likely through at least 1/2 of 2021. Partner 2 said in june that P2 was loving wfh, which I am fine with. Yesterday P2 said P2 wants to move in 2 years to the southeast. I don’t feel ok with this - am I wrong? Is it realistic P2 continues P2’s admin responsibilities long distance when we are back in the office? Not sure if I am just reacting to change badly.

Hey ladies. I need some advice. I drive a Chevy 2500 express cargo van for work but the battery keeps dying on me! I was told by management they see me in a more supervisory role at my first year review and during meetings. My second year review comes and there’s no talk about a promotion - instead it says “we can’t wait to see her excel“ and my raise and increase were the same as the prior year. I know I deserved more of an increase this year. I mentioned to my manager about the promotion and was told she will bring it up in a meeting. Three months later and I haven’t heard anything. Any advice?

It’s been nearly 2 years but I still get angry when I think about my manager that I had for an entire year who would constantly yell at me and gaslight me. Everyone else on my team said I did great work while she always brought me down. If you gaslight your direct reports with vague feedback and hustle culture energy, you should probably look inward and question why you’re a miserable human.
