Is implementation work so different from strat? I worked in multiple projects where the client was ex-MBB and they had no clue on how the implementation works.
I’m taking the GMAT in September and would like to include my score on my applications to other firms. Based on what I’m getting in practice, it would significantly improve my resume. However, I heard many firms, particularly MBB, have hiring windows in August, so applying later would hurt my chances. Is this true, and if so, when should I apply? Is it possible to apply earlier and then fill in the recruiter on my GMAT score while I’m in the process?

Turning 30 and just feel like I’m getting dumber. I am a smart person (at least relatively) and work at MBB but lately I just feel as though I have not been as sharp as I normally am. I spent the last week drinking and going out till 3am every night (NYC) so that doesn’t help but are there any tips to regain my form and just become smarter?
Anyone else feeling this way? Setting up my home office and operating well without the typical law firm resources has me thinking about opening my own practice with little to no overhead. (Contd)
Any babe willing to chat or refer me to MBB, Big4 for strategy consulting? I'm trying to take off my career but cant do without MBA. Got 2YOE in strategy, 2YOE tech cons. & On-going Tech + Strategy

Starting full-time @ MBB this month. I’m really interested in recruiting growth equity (GE) at some point. I’m pretty familiar with PE recruiting but not sure how growth differs. Anyone have perspective on any of the following: 1- Does GE recruit on cycles? If so what is the typical timing? 2- Are modeling tests standard as part of the interview process? 3- How are consultants perceived in the industry? 4- Do large GE firms utilize headhunters? 5- Do large GE firms have operating roles?
Was referred by an MD at a firm for his practice; recruiter reached out for availability - then proposed a time…I totally forgot to confirm the proposed time (which has now passed) then I misspelled her name in my panicked apology note. What a start to the day…it’s a great role too
Interested in comp data points for Accenture strategy? Consultant level, MCOL. (DC/Philadelphia etc.)
PHR or SHRM? I am looking to get more certifications related to HR vs recruiting, but I am unsure on which one is "better" or will help me grow into more of a strategic HR role. Help!!!
Does MBB ever do cyber work with government agencies requiring a clearance? Wondering if that would be helpful with a lateral move or if they wouldn’t care.
Seeking counsel from investing 🐠: what to do with 10k to invest? I was told using a fiduciary to set up index funds is a sound way to go but I am very new to this world. Data points in the comments.
I can't wait for the first zombie movie to go extra realistic and have a bunch of entry level hires at Big 4 firms complain that being eaten by a zombie is preferable to closing hair salons.
Hey guys starting studying for my first CPA Exam section (AUD) tomorrow. Test is August 11th. Have purchased Becker for study materials, any tips, tricks or recommendations?

Hi guys, I know this has probably been asked multiple times but need a fresh wind of advice. Shall I switch from pre tax to post tax/Roth contribution for reminder of the year? Not sure what’s the benefits are of each. If I anticipate my income to go up, shall I max Roth now?
My H-1B visa transfer to D got an RFE. How long does it usually take for the BAL team at D to respond? I know the timeline can vary based on the complexity of the RFE but just wanted to understand a general timeline. Did anyone else get an RFE when they moved to D? What happened in your case? Did it finally get approved or was it rejected? Deloitte

I’m all about that work from home life. However it is insulting and unprofessional when a colleague who is in the office blows off a scheduled meeting with you when you are virtual as they bumped into another colleague in the office. Anyone else noticing issues like this now that we are in this hybrid mode. How do you address it?
Any industry Slack groups worth joining?
Anyone leave the big 4 to work for a smaller, less well known consulting firm? If so, did you like it and what were the pros and cons? Thinking of making a move, but weighing my options. Thanks!
Hi! I’m looking for non-fiction book recommendations. Memoirs, self-help, business... anything really 🤗 TIA!
What are you thoughts on splitting shared expenses 50/50 or proportionate to income with SO? What if both make over $175k but there is still a significant % delta (30%+)? Mid 20s, bought a condo together (split 50/50) and will likely get engaged soon.
Looking for a good headhunting agency in Chicago specializing in MBA placement. My friend is an international student from a mid-tier school. This political climate is not helping internationals :(
MBA or CFA if I want to climb the ladder at an asset management firm? For context - 1 year out of undergrad working an internal finance role
For those that received a top MBA, looking back at your career would you have rather had an M7 MBA or a T15 MBA that was a half or full ride?
Currently working at a Risk Consulting internship at one of the Big4 for the Summer. Been an enjoyable experience but honestly I’m kinda stuck on what I really want to do full time. Got a really big interest in the Tax environment as well. Majoring in Acc and MIS - Kinda can go either way with these majors. Any advice? (Also don’t think I’d be public accounting for life - So long term wise not sure which is better)
