Well, it looks like everything's cleared up then

I’d like to understand this viewpoint more. Are you saying the full report should have been given to the public immediately? If there are any unreleased sections or redacted portions, will that invalidate the conclusions in your mind?

like

Not necessarily immediately, but soon. You may recall that the Starr report was published in paperback and sold millions of copies. I’d like to see the modern equivalent with it being posted online.

I think it is absolutely possible, and maybe even likely, that Barr’s summary is an accurate reflection of the whole. But until we (or at least Congress) sees the whole report, we can’t tell.

As for your second question, it depends on what was omitted/redacted and in what context.

like

Legally, only the Attorney General has to be given the report. Others can ask for it, but legally he is the only one given a copy.

Politically, once it has been reviewed for classified and confidential information and appropriately scrubbed, they need to release it.

smart

Well sure you and I are nobodies, but what if one of those names was “Donald Trump” or “Jared Kushner” or “Vladimir Putin”? That’s relevant and I don’t think can reasonably be redacted without making the whole thing meaningless.

Is a unique tax number (UTR) required to freelance in the UK? I have a T2 work visa and a residence permit as well as a local bank account. Does anyone else feels like the job market today is like the 2013 Real Estate Market? It is a buyer’s market. It’s saturated with jobs, but no one wants to work. And recruits are not taking advantage of the ones who want to work.

The cycle repeats. #thirstythursdays

Been getting some interesting ads in Georgia. Got a letter about how Jon Ossoff is going to destroy Georgia’s economy and attacking him and his character. This was generated by David Perdue.

Ossoffs response? Bring up all the ridiculousness Perdue has done and how he’s left Georgia in a worse position. Didn’t say Ossoffs name once, just said get rid of Perdue.

Did Republicans think this through? Are they assuming they’re now powerful enough they can stop the electoral reaction to this? I’m seeing people radicalizing in real time across my social networks. Republicans supporting Biden. Formerly moderate Democrats coming out in favor of court-packing.

Was this all really worth it?

The claims: ‘Trump inherited an amazing economy!!’ ‘No Trump unleashed the powers of the free market by lowering taxes!!’

The truth: We leverage our valuations with bad debt fostered by addictive and uncontrolled spending. It leads to companies (and sovereign entities) being fragile and vulnerable to seismic shocks. If housing/labor markets roll over, there’ll be cascading consequences rooted in the debt burden.
