Someone needs to take Fetterman off the stage. This is hard to watch

It’s honestly sad. What’s with dems and propping up people who aren’t mentally ready to handle the job

likefunny

That's really all it is, MC1.

No amount of whining can hide the fact that they're running awful candidates.

like

I'd agree - Oz is absolutely imploding.

It would be an act of mercy for Fetterman to stop this now.

likefunny

EY1, while I agree that his persona on the debate stage was not good (quite bad on numerous topics), I don’t care about ones orator or debate skills. I care about their policies, and I care about their personal integrity. While I’m not from Pennsylvania (nor am I running for office in PA), I would certainly take Fettean over Oz

likesmart

Republicans: omg, did you hear Fetterman?! Incoherent!

Also republicans: Go Herschel Walker!!

likeuplifting

Fetterman is recovering from a stroke, Herschel Walker ain't recovering, my guy.

like

No one is going to remember the debate but they will remember the sound bite Oz gave the Fetterman campaign on abortion. Lots of TV ads are going up soon with that.

like

A1, which are those?

Most here are in better states than PA (much like Oz himself), so we're not seeing the ads

like

His campaign said he’s raised $1M in the 3 hours following the debate. So whether he did terrible or not, something one of them said certainly resonated with voters..

likefunny

Fetterman is finished. His team and his wife did him and the party an immense disservice by hiding this. Any pretending that this was somehow not an unmitigated disaster of critical proportions is a major level of cope. This will be taught in the history books

like

History books? Lol. Everyone knew he had a stroke. I know someone who didn’t have a stroke and still doesn’t know what he is talking about - Walker

like

Fetterman is definitely not going to be giving too many speeches on the Senate floor if he gets elected...

He just recovered from a stroke. This is not going to last forever

like

Dems are toast in the midterms. This can't end any other way.

Insane they let him debate in this condition. This is going to cost democrats the senate. Totally crazy

In your opinion, what are some of the greatest achievements of the Biden presidency so far?*

*Excluding getting Trump out of office. Democracy did that one.

Lots of right wing hysteria about liberals trying to engineer equality of outcome to correct sexual/racial inequities (in higher ed, for example). I think we all want socioeconomic, gender and racial barriers to opportunities to be addressed, but no significant number of people really believe in equality of outcome right? This is just a straw man argument.

The claims: ‘Trump inherited an amazing economy!!’ ‘No Trump unleashed the powers of the free market by lowering taxes!!’

The truth: We leverage our valuations with bad debt fostered by addictive and uncontrolled spending. It leads to companies (and sovereign entities) being fragile and vulnerable to seismic shocks. If housing/labor markets roll over, there’ll be cascading consequences rooted in the debt burden.
