Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.
Looks very windy at cota…

Why not have them work on proactive ideas for your clients instead? You get the creative development exercise + the deck-building/idea-selling exercise if they come up with anything that’s worthy of making it up the ladder to ECDs/CCO or clients
That seems pretty dependent on finding a bar/cafe that agrees to have pro bono ads made for them, and then actually follows through on running them… if you’re trying to help them build their books, maybe have them come up with cool side project ideas that they can execute themselves? Feel like that’s the only way to 100% guarantee something gets made
The issue is that they might spend more time looking for a client than actually making the ad. Which makes them more of a new biz manager than a creative.
why aren’t you letting them do real work? bring them in on a brief and have them work against another team. i pitched directly to clients successfully as an intern.
Here’s a similar project: https://adage.com/article/marketing-news-strategy/why-ogilvy-made-weirdly-hilarious-ad-staten-island-realtor/2523401

As a student, we worked with local clients that our professors sourced for us for real client portfolio work. We also had the option to recruit new clients.
As an intern agency-side, my CD tested my production skills with a mock ad. Since I proved my technical skills, the agency wasted no time dropping real client projects on my desk.
If your interns have technical skills, I say, throw them in the deep end with buffer to transfer the project to a senior creative if there’s any issues. Assign them an internal mentor, maybe an AD interested in a CD role so they get valuable coaching experience also.
Us students and interns talked amongst ourselves about internship experiences. We wanted real work experience and creative leadership that gave us solid chances. It’s a two-way street.
*I should also add: According to federal labor law, unpaid internships need to provide educational experience. I’ll find a source to link below.
