Letting go of insecurities I let other people hang on me and just being my best me for me allowed me to be the happiest I have ever been.
That's a lot of "me" and kind of the point.
I couldn't do that when I was younger, not because I messed it up but because the 20s and 30s come with defined expectations. The 40s and beyond are a crapshoot. Make it your crapshoot.
I can’t be brought down. I feel like a beast now. The only downside is people thinking you’re too old to understand digital and social. And that’s bullshit since it’s the easiest thing to get vs learning about leadership or building solid teams for exemple.
Preach.
With age comes the blessing of seeing the younger people you mentored and coached come of age and be leaders in their own right. Working side by side with them as they rise in the ranks gives me my greatest sense of accomplishment.
Not succumbing to the panic around me, having more experience and solutions than anyone in the room, making people laugh cause it’s just advertising!
