Looking to get an Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti sometime this year. Brand new the MSRP is about 45K and despite the reputation of the old Alfa Romeo’s from the 90’s these seem to be night and day more reliable. For those of you who got out at 10, do you wish that you rode it out to 20? I’m at a crossroad and I’m not sure what to do. Have some active/reserve time, wrapping up graduate school, and am now considering either a) come back to the business world or b) go active and retire before 50 and live off a nice pension. Obviously there are draws to both. I’m an officer for what it’s worth so I can realistically retire at O-5, MAYBE O-6.

How the heck can I teach a kindergartener over the computer? It's all hands on in my class for the first couple of months. I have made and bought so many manipulatives but I can't send twenty home with the kiddos. When we do go back to in person learning they want to separate my kiddoes into two groups and I have to move between the two classes to teach. I'll be hauling my stuff on a cart to each class! I'm overwhelmed at the thought of all this.

What are some good Math curriculums? We have McGraw Hill but are looking for a switch

Anyone taught kindergarten or elementary schoolers and then made the switch to middle school? I thought it’d be nbd, but middle school is a different beast. They keep testing my patience. Any advice?

So I hear we are no longer doing go math in the upcoming school year. Instead, we will all be doing envision. Has anyone used envision and what are your thoughts on the program?

Really struggling with a few students in my kindergarten class this year and looking for suggestions. I've been teaching K for 10 of the 16 years I've been a teacher, and have never felt as disrespected by students as I do this year. Several students continually talk, yell, and laugh over me, or make noises when I am talking. They are sent away from the group to reset and make a better choice, but usually continue when they return. Parent contact has been supportive, but hasn't helped.

What kind of Earth day activities are you posting for next week?

What do you take for grades in your class/school/district? We have so much fun exploring and make great growth, but I find our hands on activities, while meaningful, are hard to quantify. Any ideas?

Do five and six year old kindergartners eat pencils? Seriously… I think I sharpen 50 pencils per day!🤣

With all of these changes and teaching live 3 or 4 times a day how are teachers supposed to have time to assess students? Most of the assessing is done one on one

Does anyone have ideas for social distancing little kids walking in line? Teaching personal space in moving lines is difficult in normal years, but this year I don't know how I will get them to keep a 6ft. distance as they walk.
