Really struggling with a few students in my kindergarten class this year and looking for suggestions. I've been teaching K for 10 of the 16 years I've been a teacher, and have never felt as disrespected by students as I do this year. Several students continually talk, yell, and laugh over me, or make noises when I am talking. They are sent away from the group to reset and make a better choice, but usually continue when they return. Parent contact has been supportive, but hasn't helped.

SIL and BIL told us excitedly last weekend that she was pregnant (had literally just found out, so barely four weeks). This week she tells us she’s not pregnant anymore :(. Looking for perspective here! I’m worried that my ex is going to refuse to pay child support and take me to court over it. And I’m worried that somehow support won’t be given. In your collective experiences, do judges award child support in 50/50 custody cases if the husband makes more a good deal more income? My ex makes 60% of hhi and I make 40%, but live in a HCOL area so really need support to help pay rent. My lawyer says I can’t make the rent case because I can move somewhere cheaper.

Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. How the heck can I teach a kindergartener over the computer? It's all hands on in my class for the first couple of months. I have made and bought so many manipulatives but I can't send twenty home with the kiddos. When we do go back to in person learning they want to separate my kiddoes into two groups and I have to move between the two classes to teach. I'll be hauling my stuff on a cart to each class! I'm overwhelmed at the thought of all this.
