What are some common job searching websites that architects and designers use?

I have been using Archinect, Architizer, Glassdoor, LinkedIn and also a very labor intensive manual google research. It seems that it's not working well for me right now. Any recommendations? 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m a recent masters graduate too and often check the AIA website for new job postings. You could also check the AIA website for each city/chapter you’re interested in and see if they have any postings. If not, you could do a simple google search and cold email the different firms in the city.

I’m in the same boat and job searching has not been great, hang in there :)

Thank you so much. Good luck to you too 🤞🏽

How is Flipkart for Work life balance? I have ~5 years of exp and hold an offer of 32 + Stocks. Although the team has asked me to invest some time in learning Java but I’m skeptical about all of this as the position is Data Engineer II so not sure how the expectations will change. Even if I invest time in learning Java I can be at a beginner level.

Hi all, I'm trying to break into sales coming from a technical background. It's been very difficult as a lot of recruiters only see the technical aspects of my previous role, even though I've added in some sales aspects from those roles. Any advice on how to break past the initial view of my resume/past technical experiences to get interviews?

I am from architecture background and wud like if someone who could help me with a referral. I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm. Any recommendations?

Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈

I’m 27 & going to go to back to college for my bachelors. I have worked in the legal field for about 8 years & I’m burnt out. After a lot of research an thought I am leaning towards either architecture or interior design. I wanted to ask some advice from anyone working as an architect or interior designer. How do you feel about the field? What are the stress levels like? Do you enjoy it? Are you working at firm or are you working independently? Any info helps! Thanks 😊
