How much discretionary cash do you keep around?
I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈
I prefer green though

I’m at the pool rn.
Might get a dragonfruit juice, it doesn’t taste like anything but it’s more about the having.
Also I stopped trying to impress everyone else, it’s like going to the gym, you’re never going to be the person with the most ripped out neck veins, but you put in your personal best every day and that leads to changes, and you retain your voice…
Now, does anyone know how to degrease your phone of sunblock I have a call in twenty, camera off.
You just gotta look for whatever small wins you can and steal away the moments that you can for your sanity. Having a healthier lifestyle and habits has also helped me have more energy and not be overwhelmed as easily. Eat clean, work out, sleep as regularly as you can, have some sort of mindfulness practice. It helps a lot that I don't have kids so I still get some time for myself when I need it. My colleagues with offspring are not so lucky from what I've heard.
I agree with what everyone else is saying. Stop giving 100%. No one cares and all it will do is kill you. Give 70% which is probably better than they’ve ever gotten. Go home at five. Don’t look at your emails or text messages after five. Leave the building for lunch. Walk around for 20 minutes every two hours. I know all of this sounds ridiculous, but after 35 years in the business, I look back and realize, none of the places I worked for gave a fuck. I just earned a paycheck.
