What are you doing to stand out in job applications?

My biggest issue is just getting to the interview stage. It's the hardest part of this whole process. I've been setting alerts for jobs that get posted within 24 hours on Linkedin just to get my resume in before the first 50 people. I've tried tailoring my resume, writing cover letters, and direct outreach. What are you trying that's worked?

I went the extra mile to show my personality in my cover letter. I have jokes, sarcasm, and irreverent humor. I figure, if it actually gets read, it might not be for some employers, but it could help me stand out for the ones that I actually want to work for.

I've done a lot of the same as you. It's been fruitless so far. Since I've got the free time, I've started to focus more on building out my portfolio. I have a lot in there already, but I don't feel it totally showcases my abilities since I'm constrained by the companies I've worked for and the industries I've worked in. I'm building out a bunch of sample email campaigns for fictional companies across the fashion, beauty, pet and supplement spaces to hopefully make myself more competitive. We'll see if it works.

I messed up my screenshare in a meeting with 2 colleagues and showed my personal email that had scheduling info for my onsite interviews with another company. I closed it but it was up long enough for them to see it. Now they both pretend like they saw nothing and I felt panic for some reason. How were your experiences when letting it out the bag early like that?

Hi Sharks
I am 25 years old with in hand salary of 1L(just from last month) and i want to buy a term insurance plan. My questions are:
1. Is it wise to take 2 plans of term insurance one with return of 60 years and another without return of 80 years of each 1cr.
2. Is it wise to include health riders in insurance plan to claim for 80d or just chose health insu
3. How much one can ideally shell out for insurance per month (both term and health) for self in terms of percentage of monthly income.

Very random- I need to buy my son a suit. 5’3, 120 lbs. Likely a very small sized men’s suit. He is not happy about wearing a suit so looking for a place to take him to try on lots of suits.
