What do women do after kids ? After one I could keep the late nights going and meet hours. After 2 I just cant think or function anymore. I really don’t know what is next. I feel like a full time job is just impossible but am confused where do most women end up?

Reduced hours from home. Spouse works PT and is very engaged. Totally do-able. The years before elementary school are draining but an incredible life experience. Tiny humans are magical.

I experienced the same—it was somewhat manageable with 1 kid. Next to impossible with 2. I left big law and went in house, which helped a lot.

I went in house and we finally decided for my husband to run the house and keep everything and everyone on track. We would have been paying about the same as he was making since we have 3 kids, next year we will be empty nesters. He is 6 years older than me so he is close to retirement so he gets involved with local politics and does what he can to help the community and I support his efforts.

It hasn’t gotten any easier for me. The best advice I can give is that when you’re working, you’re working and when you’re momming, you’re momming. Keeping them separate rather than trying to do both at once helps with the sanity. It’s not perfect but it helps.

I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.

Any input on job offerings I’ve received. Morgan Stanley CRU risk officer pay is $70k with a less than 10% bonus. And KeyBank position is a private client advisor pay is $67k but bonus can range from $10k -$25k depending on performance and other compensation factors. Currently a Investment Consiltant at WFA making $62k with a $7k bonus. Both are in office positions in SLC, UT. TIA
