The fact that I truly found the Lord in my twenties and not later. I grew up in a socially Christian culture which can lead you to touch Him in a very superficial way since it’s ingrained in the culture. I found the body of Christ which it’s extremely important as part things that allows you to build the relationship with the Lord. We need our two and threes from the body to enjoy the riches of His word together.

My husband sometimes prays “thank you for the good things you’ve given us, and the bad things you’ve withheld from us.” There’s a song called Blessings Everywhere that says “blessings in the yes, blessings in the no…” It’s not to trivialize it, but hopefully to take a long view and trust in God’s timing, provision, and care.

To finally be living in Florida!
My ongoing mental health recovery. It’s been a bumpy three and a half months so far but I think it’s forced me to start focusing on things that matter more in life—service vs hedonistic pleasure, family vs being an island unto myself. And I thank God every day for my family, my doctor, and above all the Lord’s guidance and support.
I learned long ago that blessings can also appear to be curses at first but after reflecting the fire makes us look more like Christ which I consider a huge blessing. Ex. Joseph, Apostle Paul..
Couldn’t agree more. My first girlfriend ending the relationship felt terrible during the time, but now in hindsight, having found the woman of my dreams - and marrying her last weekend - certainly a blessing.
