Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

Early to bed, early to rise keeps you healthy wealthy and wise
Rising Star
You are junior enough that you will have to end up working until everyone senior to you signs off, safer to do the late hours so you don't burn out

Look at SM1 brag below - that isn't changing anytime soon so I gave OP the most realistic answer, factoring in what they can't control (like leadership's tonesetting)
god i hate that this is even a valid question in consulting. why are we still doing this guys
Rising Star
Exactly. This is not normal.

The sad thing is that this is what is expected for a promotion. Just another cog in the system. Overwork people so they can get sick and have to pay for overpriced healthcare so have to keep working.
5:30-6 bc I’ll never wake up before my first meeting no matter what time it starts
8:30-9 because I hate early mornings
Rising Star
It's easier to stay awake rather than finding the will to leave my bed, so 8:30 am - 9 pm seems like the best fit 4 me
530-6pm (actually this is my current schedule)
Typical management working only 30 min a day
Woah that’s almost 12 hours a day why would you do that to yourself?
Pro
My standard is 8 to 6-8 daily. Definitely less than optimal, didn’t choose to work significantly more hours than I’m allowed to bill.
Yeah neither.
Def 5:30am - 6pm because I like to finish off my work day and do the things I like uninterrupted once done.
Plus much easier to wake up early and make use of morning time when I have to be up for work vs having to motivate myself to wake up to do the things I like
Moving to the west coast?
No haha
It’ll end up becoming 5:30a-9p.....

5:30 to 6. Work way better in the mornings.

Neither.
8:30am - 9pm. I’m going to keep getting pinged until 9pm anyway. Why add the extra morning hours?
Tbh I'd prefer a graveyard shift,,, I feel most productive at night. I'm talking a 1am- 10am kind of shift
Pro
Always log on later. It’s harder to sign out early than it is to start late.
Protect your mornings since you have much less control over your evenings.

Yeeeeppppp. Protecting my mornings also allows me to check off my self care box and then focus on work the rest of the day. I avoid feeling disgruntled that I'm sacrificing my own well being to meet the unending demands of work because I already handled it. 🚲🏊♂️🏃
The latter. I hate mornings though
