Do the work, get paid, move on.
Do the best you can and look at it as practice. Regardless of who came up with the idea, more experience producing work is always a good thing.
Show that you have the ability to make it interesting or better. If you can only show interest or effort in your own ideas, then for me that’s a 🚩🚩🚩
You appreciate not being one of the people who would stab someone to have a job right now.
That said, I get it. We’re meant to be creative and it sucks when the rhetoric doesn’t match the reality.
I try to give everyone a minute of churlishness before I snap at them to just do the damn thing.
You do it. But it helps to find something in the project you can make yours. You may not be able fix the whole thing but is there one thing you can make better?

definitely sabotage it. let the bitterness fill you 👹
Push it and make it better. Got handed a turd last year, pushed it from aggressively bad to decent. Clients were hyped (even though i still think it sucks). Got promoted
If it makes you feel better, boring work is the work that gets you home on time.

Not every project will be interesting. You do the work and put your own spin on it.
